Pharaoh visits Lyncroft Care Home

On a peaceful but drizzly Sunday morning Pharaoh, accompanied by his humans Tina and Chris Gambell, paid a visit to Lyncroft Care Home in Wisbech.

The residents and staff were very welcoming and took turns to feed Pharaoh treats of carrots, apple chunks and alfalfa nuts. which he ate with enthusiasm. Undeterred by the weather, Pharaoh stood patiently and calmly at the patio doors while the residents came to give his neck a stroke. It was amazing to see so many smiling face and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Llama therapy builds on the pre-existing human-animal bond. Interacting with a friendly llama can help many physical and mental issues. It can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health. It can also release endorphins that produce a calming effect.

Pharaoh is hoping to receive invitations to other care homes and institutions where his wonderfully calm and gentle presence can bring further benefits to folk in Wisbech and beyond.
